Free Compulsory Education for You!
Finally, I’m back with the stuff I’ve been promising for so long. As I said in my earlier article, education (I mean tertiary education) in Sweden is currently free, and I mean free as in freedom. You don’t pay a penny for tuition, besides, you get the best quality education you can never imagine. Totally unbelievable isn’t it?
‘How do I get started?’, you may ask. It’s very simple. If you are a “fresh or old” graduate (from high school or university) looking for the opportunity to further your education to undergraduate, master or PhD level, then this is the opportunity for you, a dream-come-true chance for you.
First of all just get behind your computer if you have an internet service or you can walk into any internet cafe and then get yourself online. The next step is to get to this website www.studyinsweden.se, this is the official educational website for education in Sweden. On the site, look for course search on the menu. This takes you to the course search page. Here search for and select the course of your choice and the level you will be applying for (undergraduate, master or PhD), then go ahead and click on the search button. This takes you to a page where you find lists of schools offering that course.
At this point you are a step into getting your school. Carefully go through the lists and select your school(s) of choice (by clicking on the program, which takes you to the school’s website). All you have to do now is read the prerequisite for the course and if you meet the requirements, apply for it right away.
Another way to do this is to get to www.studera.nu, and sign up for an account. After signing up, log in to your account follow the instructions there and then apply, apply and apply till you drop dead! Good luck.
